Is your high school (grades 9-12) student interested in being the next entrepreneur?
This free camp is for them!
Join us as we explore their personality strengths, develop marketing and branding skills, promote financial and government literacy, and pitch their developed product! Along the way we will visit with civic leaders, field experts and field trip to West Monroe City Hall, Delta Community College, and the University of Louisiana Monroe.

When: July 11, 14-18, 2025. This is a 6 day course.
100% Attendance is required. Participation in the Future Entrepreneur Academy (FEA) means you must attend each day. Enrollment is a commitment to the full program.
TRANSPORTATION: The FEA will be held at The Commons Building at the Ouachita Parish School Board offices at 1600 North 7th Street, West Monroe, LA 71291
- Class begins promptly at 8:30AM. Students should arrive 10 minutes prior to get settled and ready to begin by 8:30AM.
- Class ends at 2PM each day except for Friday, July 18, 2025 where we will be at ULM and done by noon. Parents – please ensure students are picked up promptly afterwards.
HOMEWORK:
- Students will be given a binder with handouts of valuable information needed for each day’s topics.
- Students will be required to complete each day’s work. They will have assistance from Mentors to clarify any questions they may have and will be able to do most of the assignments before they leave for the day.
GROUP WORK:
- On the first day, students will take an assessment and be grouped together based on their strengths.
- Each team will work together to determine what their business will be.
- Each day students will learn what it takes to open a business and the teams will put together a business plan and do a PRESENTATION PITCH of their BUSINESS on the last day, Friday, July 18, 2025.
- Evening work may be required to complete their project.
