Spotlight on Sheila Snow: A Passionate Advocate for Community and Culture

Sheila Snow, the current Treasurer of the West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce, embodies a spirit of service and leadership that has left an indelible mark on our community. A dedicated professional and tireless volunteer, Sheila has generously given her time and talents to help strengthen Northeast Louisiana’s cultural and economic vitality.

As President of the Downtown Arts Alliance and Marketing & Communications Chair for United Way of Northeast Louisiana, Sheila’s influence reaches far beyond her Chamber role. She has also served as the Chamber’s Government Chair, playing a pivotal part in advocating for our community's needs and initiatives.

Her previous leadership roles are equally impressive, including President, 1st Vice President, and 2nd Vice President of the Ad Club of NELA, a Board Member of the Downtown West Monroe Revitalization Group, and Marketing Chair for the Louisiana Travel Association. Each position highlights her unwavering commitment to promoting and enhancing the region’s culture and opportunities.

For Sheila, her professional role as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Discover Monroe-West Monroe is more than a career—it’s a calling. As she puts it, "It is an incredible honor to impact my community through my work at Discover Monroe-West Monroe. Promoting the culture, stories, and people of Ouachita Parish, along with collaborating with my amazing team, has been the best part of what I do each day." Her work has been instrumental in shining a light on the unique beauty and experiences Northeast Louisiana has to offer.

At home, Sheila shares her life with her husband, Jimmy Snow, owner of Strategic Counseling Solutions and a current doctoral student at ULM. Together, they have two children: Jackson, a sophomore at Louisiana Tech majoring in Finance, and Anne Marie, a sophomore at West Monroe High School.

Sheila’s ability to balance her professional responsibilities, extensive community involvement, and family life is a testament to her dedication and passion for Northeast Louisiana. As the Chamber Board Secretary, her contributions continue to uplift the Chamber’s mission of fostering growth and connection in our community.
