At the helm of this venture is Averie Chilton, a devoted wife to Sawyer and a loving mother to two energetic boys. With a strong work ethic and a heart for serving others, Averie stepped into entrepreneurship at the young age of 25, fueled by a calling she couldn’t ignore.

A Dream, A Prayer, and an Open Door

The journey of Cattleman 7 began with a vision in November 2023. Averie felt led to open a business that reflected her values—family, faith, and the beauty of country living. Just one month later, in December 2023, a remarkable opportunity presented itself: a perfect store space became available unexpectedly after a previous contract fell through. Seeing this as divine intervention, Averie and her family stepped forward in faith, securing the location and bringing Cattleman 7 to life.

Opening its doors on February 1, 2024, the boutique was inspired by Averie’s deep connection to rural life and a special bond with her beloved horse, Weston. During her pregnancy in 2022, Weston became more than just a horse—he was a companion, a source of strength, and a silent encourager during long walks and quiet conversations. Tragically, Weston passed away just two weeks after Cattleman 7 opened, but his memory and the courage he instilled in Averie continue to drive her forward.

Growing with Passion and Purpose

Starting small, with a commitment to building without accumulating significant debt, Averie poured her heart into Cattleman 7, growing the business one step at a time. What began as a country and western-themed boutique specializing in clothing, boots, purses, and gifts has since expanded into a full-fledged destination for those who cherish simple, meaningful living.

The store’s evolution led to the creation of C7 Boutique, Bouquets, and Books. With a desire to bring beauty and comfort to others, the newest addition—the C7 Flower Market—provides custom floral arrangements for special occasions, celebrations of life, weddings, and moments of comfort.

For book lovers, A Book Nook inside the boutique offers a thoughtfully curated selection of books for all ages and interests. Beyond books, visitors can find unique gifts, tees, hats, and organic soaps scattered throughout the store, making it a charming and inviting space for shoppers of all kinds.
